Status on 26 October 2026
All finished. The FIE lists five continental confederations: African, Pan American, Asian, European and Oceania. Their senior zonal championships count towards the FIE's senior individual ranking with a multiplier of 1.5 (Organisation Rules, August 2026, o.108; see rankings and the World Cup). The European, Asian, Pan American and African championships of 2026 are below; the Oceania championships were not searched for this research. Fencing at the Asian Games, a multi-sport event rather than a zonal championship, is at the end.
The FIE's results pages could not be read, so every result here rests on a continental body, a national body or a press report, named for each event. Countries are given as each source gives them.
European Championships, Antony, France
The European Fencing Confederation (EFC) reports that the 2026 European Senior Championships opened in Antony on 16 June 2026 for six days of competition, and published its closing report on 22 June. The end date is given more than one way: the EFC's day-by-day reports imply 16 to 21 June, a search summary gave 15 to 21 June, and a press report spoke of Sunday 22 June, although the Sunday was 21 June.
Individual
| Event | Gold | Silver | Bronze |
|---|---|---|---|
| Men's epee | Simone Mencarelli (Italy) | Alon Sarid (Israel) | Conrad Seibaek Kongstad (Denmark), Neisser Loyola (Belgium) |
| Women's epee | Katrina Lehis (Estonia) | Alexandra Ehler (Germany) | Eszter Muhari (Hungary), Alicja Klasik (Poland) |

| Women's sabre | Lucia Martin-Portugues (Spain) | See below | Toscane Tori (France), Alina Komashchuk (Ukraine) |
In women's sabre, the EFC says Lucia Martin-Portugues beat Yana Egorian in the final, but its article neither names Egorian as the silver medallist in so many words nor gives her country. The EFC places Toscane Tori in the French team here; its own report from the World Championships in July lists her under Switzerland, a disagreement between two EFC reports that the research did not settle.
Team
| Event | Gold | Silver | Bronze |
|---|---|---|---|
| Men's team epee | Italy (Davide Di Veroli, Matteo Galassi, Simone Mencarelli, Andrea Santarelli) | France | Ukraine |
| Women's team epee | France | Hungary (beaten finalist) | Not stated |

| Women's team sabre | AIN (Yana Egorian, Alina Mikhailova, Aleksandra Mikhailova, Anastasiya Shorokhova) | France (Sara Balzer, Manon Apithy, Toscane Tori, Sarah Noutcha) | Italy |
The EFC calls the men's team sabre gold Hungary's third team title in a row. Its closing report puts Italy top of the medal table with four gold, one silver and two bronze, and France second with ten medals (three gold, five silver, two bronze); Hungary and AIN each had one gold, one silver and two bronze, and 13 countries won medals. AIN (Individual Neutral Athletes) appear in the EFC's own results and medal table; the EFC's decision text on Russian and Belarusian participation at Antony was not found.

Pan American Championships
The FIE published a report on 10 June 2026 headlined as the United States winning four of the six individual gold medals at the Pan American senior zonal championships; only the headline and date could be read. A search-result extract of another FIE report places the championships in Lima, Peru, but the extract does not show the year, so the venue is unconfirmed. No individual or team winner by weapon was found.
African Championships, Abidjan, Ivory Coast
Wikipedia lists the 2026 African Championships as the 24th edition, held in Abidjan with 12 events. A search-result extract of an FIE report, attributed to the Egyptian federation, says the championships ran from 1 to 5 June at the Palais des Sports de Treichville, that Egypt won 10 of the 12 titles (four of the six individual and all six team events), and that Mohamed Elsayed (Egypt) won men's epee, beating Houssam Elkord (Morocco) 15-10. The extract does not state the year and the report itself could not be opened, so all of that is unconfirmed. No other winner was found.
Asian Games, Aichi-Nagoya 2026
Fencing at the 2026 Asian Games was held at Aichi Sky Expo in Tokoname, Japan, in September 2026. Korea JoongAng Daily reported on 28 September 2026 that host Japan topped the fencing medal table with six gold, two silver and three bronze, and Korea was second with four gold, four silver and two bronze. It named Korea's four golds:
- Men's individual sabre: Oh Sang-uk, who the paper says retained his title.
- Men's team sabre: Korea, which the paper calls a fourth Asian Games title in a row.
- Women's individual epee: Song Se-ra.
- Women's team sabre: Korea.
The other eight gold medallists, including Japan's six, were not found. No prize money is given on this page.
